Marissa is a Physical Therapist with a passion for serving infants and toddlers in the development of their gross motor skills. She views early mobility as an important launching point for learning and discovery and emphasizes a fun and dynamic, play-based approach.

Marissa received an Honors Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University. Throughout her education and clinical practice, Marissa has had extensive experience providing care to patients who are primarily Spanish-speaking, and she is passionate about culturally inclusive care and family-oriented treatment planning and goal-setting.

With a background in hospital-based care, Marissa prioritizes functional mobility skills and activities, which pave the way for more effective environmental access for the child and open doors for meaningful social interactions and participation. She has extensive clinical experience related to balance and gait training. As a mom herself, Marissa wants to empower and encourage parents and caregivers as they care for the children in their lives.

In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her husband and children, getting lost in a good mystery novel, watching the sport of biathlon, traveling to new places, and practicing Spanish.
