Dena is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist assistant who loves working with children and helping them grow and develop their communication skills. Her love for children and their development drove her to pursue a career in speech.

Dena received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders at Maryville University.

Dena loves interacting with children and working on their speech skills through play and structured educational tasks. Her experience in childcare and the public school system has given her the opportunity to work with children from birth to eighteen years, and gave her the ability to understand the different needs and milestones each age range brings.

When she’s not working with children, Dena enjoys camping, swimming and spending time outside. Dena spends most of her free time with her three children and watching their sport events. When she gets a chance, she loves to read a good book or two.
