Rachel is a certified Speech Language Pathology Assistant whose love for teaching led her to a career in special education. Rachel’s passion is assisting children in becoming affective and confident communicators.
Rachel received a Bachelor of Science in Communication at Western Oregon University, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Speech Language Pathology Assisting at Chemeketa Community College.
Rachel loves educating students on the fundamentals of articulation and communication. In her education and experience, she has worked with children in the public-school setting, ranging from primary school to middle school. She has worked with children of varying needs and abilities, both in the general education and special education settings.
In her personal life, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, small children, and mini-Australian shepherd. Together, they enjoy exploring Oregon, and frequent sporting events at Willamette University in Salem. Rachel also enjoys handcrafting home decor and dabbling in various crafts. She loves learning new skills and trades to implement into her everyday life.
